Manual Balancing Valves

ASHRAE recommends that manual balancing valves be placed on the coils, risers, branches, and pump discharge so that the system can be proportionally balanced. This method is preferred by most designers for constant speed systems. Proportional balancing strives to have all circuits with pressure drop equal to the index circuit which already has the most loss. In the typical layout, the index circuit is highlighted. When proportional balancing is complete, the design GPM is achieved by trimming the pump impeller or throttling the pump balancing valve.

Coil Hook-up Kits

IIMI Flow Design offers Pre-configured Automatic and Manual Coil Hook-up Kits.  Any combination of standard or custom coil hook-up kits can be assembled to fit your hydronic system requirements.  These kits consist of automatic and manual balancing valves, combination ball valve with strainers, and union with manual vent and PT ports, and hoses if required.

IMI Flow design offers product components to fit many of your hydronic needs.  Air Vents for continuous air venting for hot and chilled water systems.  Test kits for field monitoring and adjusting of AccuSetter Valves, Pitot Tubes, and Venturis. Dielectric Nipple for preventing galvanic corrosion between dissimilar metals.  Extended handles to protrude through the pipe insulation for easy access.  PPCV pump isolation valve with full port plated ball and PTFE seats to reduce possible leak locations to a minimum.  PT Ports with cap design utilizing a ground-joint union style seal backed with an O-ring and countless other accessories for your hydronic system.

VersaFlow

VersaFlow Hose kits come in 4 different hose pack combinations.

  • Kit A features the AutoFlow automatic balancing valve on the return side of the coil as recommended by ASHRAE. Automatic balancing offers a number of advantages over manual or differential temperature balancing.

VersaFlow Hose Kit-A

  • Kit B has a manual balancing valve on the return side of the coil as recommended by ASHRAE. The VersaFlow manual balancing kit features a calibrated venturi valve instead of a circuit setter. The venturi has a number of advantages over the circuit setter.

  • Kit C includes a Model UB ball valve, Model YC strainer with ball valve and two Model S2/S3 hose assemblies.

  • Kit AC includes Model AC combination AutoFlow regulator with dual P/T ports and shut off valve and Model YC strainer with ball valve and two Model H2/H3 hose assemblies.

Domestic Water (Lead Free) Manual Balancing Valves

UA Zero is a lead free shut off and manual venturi balancing valve with Large diameter plated ball and PTFE seats.  The Hydronic and Potable water balancing valve includes PT Ports and memory stop.

Designed specially for hot water recirculation applications, the ICSS is an Automatic flow control valve that is NSF/ANSI 61-G Certified and approved directly by NSF for commercial hot water contact applications
